Wendy Ida’s (ee'da) family sometimes think she’s “over the top” in her dedication to fitness and health. Yet, considering she was a size 12 most of her life before starting her own exercise regime at age 42 – and dwindling down to a rock-solid size 4 – it’s no wonder she maintains a burning passion to help others achieve similar results.

Wendy’s fitness career began after she gained 50 pounds with the birth of her second child (Sky D') and a friend convinced her to try weight training. Immediately enamored by the changes in her body, she pursued her own training credentials and also became a nutrition specialist.

Known as the “Ab Queen” by her peers, Spectrum Club gym members, and many of her clients, she has been a professional trainer since 1996.  Wendy inspires her clients to make life changes to stay fit and healthy. For those who are “gym shy,” she also conducts in-home sessions, and works with groups at local beaches and parks.

Aside from two national certifications, from ACE (American Council on Exercise) and NCEP (National College for Exercise Professionals), Wendy has achieved international recognition via commercials and exercise videos on Fox Sports Net, the Lifetime channel, and dozens of other appearances.

With a degree in accounting, Wendy’s first career was in finance. She also holds a real estate license, is a certified mortgage broker, and volunteers her time and advocacy at abuse centers for women Her all-consuming passion, however, is to lead, inspire and empower women and others to use fitness as the road to enhanced self-esteem and quality of life no matter what age.  Her motto is simple: The power of fitness will set you free.

“When I see someone go off of insulin as a result of exercise and nutrition, or someone’s blood pressure jump to normal because of my regular workout programs, I know my life is not in vain,” says Wendy.
