My Story
Wendy Ida (ee-da) is a Nationally Certified Master Fitness Trainer also known as the Health & Fitness Warrior since 1996. As former Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the LA Avengers football team, she has achieved International recognition via commercials, sports modeling and exercise videos on Fox Sports Net, the Lifetime channel, Pax, TV1 and dozens of other appearances. Because of her expertise as a trainer she is a frequent guest on talk radio and has done many magazine interviews. Wendy received an Award of Recognition for Outstanding Educational Community Service from Dr. Charles Adams, Founder and President of the Educational Outreach Community Program, in August of 2008 and has been twice nominated for Who’s Who Among Women.
Now known as the “Ab Queen,” Wendy didn’t start her own exercise regime Until age 40. Her family thinks she’s over the top in her dedication to fitness, but she has dwindled down to a size 4. She shed 50 pounds, two children and a size twelve dress. Now her purpose and burning passion is to lead, inspire and empower women and others to achieve similar results. Her mission is to show you how to turn your life around, no matter what age, by revealing the secrets that helped to change her life in her upcoming book called: Take Back Your Life: Wendy Ida’s No Nonsense Approach to Health Fitness and Looking Good Naked!
Wendy Ida participated in her first figure competition on March 21, 2009, a month shy of her 57th birthday. She was the winner of three top trophies in the 2009 NPC San Diego Bodybuilding & Figure Championship. She won a First Place Gold Medal in Women 45-plus category, Second Place in Women, 35-plus category, and Second Place in Women, Unlimited category. This made her eligible to compete at the National level in which she also won 1st place.
In addition to Wendy’s busy life she volunteers her time to domestic violence prevention programs, and is an advocate for programs that help women who have experienced abuse.
Wendy is a living example that women over age 40 can push beyond, be sexy and become “fitness warriors” themselves if they understand their bodies. She believes: “The power of fitness will set you free!”
